What inspires you as a coach?
Developing an athlete’s understanding of their training and then challenging them with events that lead toward their main race focus. Watching an athlete grow and seeing them achieve their goal is a great inspiration.
What types of triathletes do you coach?
I’'ve got a range of athletes aging from early 20'’s – late 50'’s. Many of them are training for Ironman Distance events but also a number that are training for Standard Distance Triathlons and 1 Ironman Events as well as running and cycling events.
What is the biggest challenge to coaching triathlon?
To find balance in life. Family/work/education/sports all take lots of time but all are very important. Find that fine line where you can do it all successfully.
