SQUAD INFORMATION

Fitter Swimming squads cater for adults and teenagers who want to maintain their general fitness through swimming.  Our squads require a basic level of proficiency in freestyle and are designed to improve fitness.  General swimming drills are incorporated into the program along with fly, back and breaststroke where appropriate.  The emphasis of these squads is to build and maintain a strong fitness level and regular attendance is encouraged.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday squads:
6am-7am squad:


This squad is geared towards the swimmer who is looking to train for events or general fitness and requires regular structured training sessions. Typical workouts are approximately 3km in length, mainly freestyle, although drills and other strokes are included at most sessions.

Swimming ability: You should be able to complete 500m freestyle non-stop.

7am-8am squad:


This squad is similar to our 6am swimmers but the session distance is slightly shorter and the pace of the session a little slower. Typical workouts are approximately 2.5km, mainly freestyle, although other drills and other strokes are included at most sessions.

Swimming ability: You should be able to complete 5 x 100m freestyle reps with 30 secs rest between each.


Tuesday/Thursday squads:
6am-7am squad & 7am-8am squads:


These squads are geared towards the swimmer who is looking to train for events or general fitness yet only requires 2 coached workouts per week. Typical workouts are approximately 2.5km, mainly freestyle, although drills and other strokes are included at most sessions.

Swimming ability: No pace limit but must be able to swim at least 300m freestyle non-stop.

 

Private Swimming Lessons:
We also offer one-on-one and group freestyle technique sessions utilising video feedback both below and above water to enhance the learning experience.

Lesson Fees:

$100 per hour for individual freestyle lessons (can be shared by up to 2 people)

Group lessons: P.O.A.
